If you would like to increase profits and grow your business, you must market your business!
You can spend as little or as much as you like, obviously the more money you have to spend the more widespread your campaign can be, but this doesn’t mean small businesses can’t market themselves effectively, they just have to be smarter, and target their customers more specifically.

A good example of this is, I have seen one of our clients a commercial refrigeration and air conditioning company grow from a shed, and move twice due to their business expanding now employing over 40 people in only a few years. What’s the secret?

They are always marketing themselves, and trying different marketing strategies, such as Telemarketing, Promotional Marketing with Badges on equipment they service, Fridge magnets, Uniforms. Printed Marketing with customised invoice books, Signage and Direct Mail, Professioanl Business Cards, Printed Envelopes etc.

when a client sees their logo they automatically recognise the brand. Now this may not be the right path for your business, your business may benefit from website marketing, tradeshows, fax marketing or any of the methods above.
The key is you have to start doing something, you can’t just sit their waiting for work to come in the door, if you want to grow rapidly and increase your market share.

So go ahead and allocate yourself a small budget, test and measure the results from the marketing method you choose, and if it doesn’t give you the result you want try something different, until you find what works best for you, every industry is different, but one thing that is consistent if your not moving forwards your going backwards in business.
